CPR Training

CPR training (Basic Life Support) +/- Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training

A hands-on course for up to eight people. Includes the recognition of cardiac arrest, chest compressions, ventilation, recovery position and recognition and treatment of choking. The course lasts for up to two hours and can be offered as Adult, Paediatric or both as required.

Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training can be added to this course if required. This part of the course covers the safe use of the AED, its limitations and the safety precautions needed. This will add up to one hour to the course.

Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers

In addition to covering all aspects of the CPR course, including AED use if required, this course covers other aspects of providing CPR in a healthcare setting. Use of bag-valve-mask devices and working as part of a resuscitation team are covered, as well as recognition of the patient at risk of cardiopulmonary arrest.

We are also able to offer the option of online and blended training for Healthcare providers. You can get more information by clicking this link CPR/BLS for Healthcare Professionals or the button below.

Anaphylaxis training

This course lasts for about one hour and is normally offered in conjunction with CPR and/or AED training. It enables candidates to recognise anaphylaxis, differentiating between a life-threatening anaphylactic reaction and a localised allergic reaction. The course also covers the common causes of anaphylaxis, the treatment of anaphylaxis and the use of adrenaline autoinjectors (e.g.epipen).

Medical Emergencies in Dental Practice

This course combines CPR, AED and Anaphylaxis training as detailed above with the recognition and assessment of the seriously ill patient, oxygen administration and the use of airway adjuncts. This course follows the Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines for dental practitioners and meets the CPD requirements of the General Dental Council. More details are available here.

We are also able to offer the option of online and blended training for Dental staff. You can get more information by clicking this link Basic Life Support for Dentists and Dental Surgery workers or the button below.

I am currently unable to offer training to individuals, only to groups at their workplace. If you need individual training you could consider online training or a combined CPR, AED and Anaphylaxis course offered by Wigmore Medical.
